Valentines Day - hate or love it?

Today I thought I'd do a little blog on love & with Valentines Day coming up in a few days, the only thing I see on my Facebook news feed anymore is how everyone hates Valentines Day, and how they're proud to be single - which is dead funny considering 3weeks ago you were writing status about how you wanted a 'cute relationship'..

"SINGLE AND PROUD MEMBER OF THE THURSDAY CLUB"
- shut up, you're just in denial.

Some say that love just doesn't exist in real life, only in fairytales which I suppose depending on the experience or lack of experience that you've had, this point will seem true. But my theory is that love is in everything we do - our family, the person you secretley want but know you'll never have, in having crushes on celebrities. Just because you don't get what you want doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Take me for example - I'll be spending Valentines Day alone this year even though I have a boyfriend, but he'll be in a completley different continent to me on a family holiday. Fair enough it sucks that I won't have someone to spend Valentines Day with, but that doesn't mean that I'm not loved? Just means that unfortunately things can't go the way that I want them to.
I've been with my boyfriend for 2years 3months on Valentines Day, and just the thought of how we've been together for so long is a good enough present for me.

If you're all alone & think 'oh boo hoo, no one loves me' you're probably completley wrong. Everyone has someone who has a crush on them, even though they might not realise until it's too late - there's no point in feeling alone and sorry for yourself, because somewhere is someone that likes you, you just haven't found them yet.

Valentines Day is all about taking risks and chances, telling the person you've loved for 21687461 years that you care about them and want to be with them - don't just leave it to chance and wait for something to happen, because unless you make the first move, you'll never move forward.

I hope you enjoyed reading my quick blog today & agreed with some of the points that I made, tune in tomorrow for some more blogging!

What's actually happened to the youth of today?

The youth of today in my opinion is actually shocking.
When I was about 12/13 I wasn't going out on shopping trips alone to buy high heels and short skirts, then attaching myself to every piece of make up in the shop - I was playing on my bike in the street.

I think the main reason why teenagers are so corrupt today, is Tumblr.

'Tumblr Girls' are seen as a fashion trend, every girl wants to have the thigh gap, their collar bones popping out of their chest, long perfect hair which obviously isn't real, and of course - to be like 1st wet through because that's the "fashionable" thing to do.

JUST EAT A BLOODY BURGER YOU FAKE, OVER EDITED TUMBLR GIRLS.

This is not sexy, this is just anorexic & unhealthy.

"If you don't pose in front of a camera for your new profile picture on Facebook or Twitter, then you might as well have no friends" - actually saw a girl tweet this the other day, she got 47 retweets and 30 favourites - wtf?

This is only a short blog (mainly because I don't have time to do a really long one today), but I just want to get the message across that being a teenager is not supposed to be about staying fashionable and getting lots of likes and compliments because you have a nice cross earing dangling down from your ears & noses..
It's about finding yourself and finding friends who are going to stick by you for the rest of your life, finding out what you want to do with the rest of your life and making sure that you make the right choices or else you're gonna end up not knowing what to do with yourself.

Don't follow the hype, just be who you want to be. Or else you'll never make any true friends.

I hope you enjoyed reading my blog today, if you have any of your own opinions on the matter just send me a comment/shoutout.

"Disney Stars Gone Wild"

They all started out so innocent - "The Mickey Mouse Club" in the 1990's the now incredibly famous Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake & Christina Aguilera included the first group of young stars who would be destined to make future headlines in the media.

And they're not the only ones, Selena Gomez & Demi Lovato were both children in the "Barney The Dinosaur" programmes, which helped to kick start their careers in acting and got them the gigs at Disney.

Selena Gomez was the main character Alex in "The Wizards Of Waverly Place", which now features on programmes such as CITV on weekend mornings due to popular demand.
She's managed to keep her wholesome role in film by starring in films such as "Another Cinderella Story", "Monte Carlo" and guest starred in "The Muppets Movie". She's also created a name for herself in the music industry with her band "Selena Gomez And The Scene", releasing pop songs which are regular hits with her teen audiences.

However, her name was soon recognised in everyone's homes when she began dating Justin Bieber a few years ago, being labelled as the next big celebrity couple. However that relationship has now flopped, what a surprise..

(left) Selena Gomez: Then & Now (right) Selena Gomez pictured with hubby Justin Bieber.

It's impossible not to mention how rehab has had an effect on some of the former Disney stars.
Lindsey Lohan, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus & Britney Spears have all experienced the wonders of rehab, however Lindsey Lohan loves it so much that she's decided to go back about 7 times now.

Britney hit a bit of a bumpy road when she first started marrying every man she met, but she mainly hit her downfall when she decided to shave her hair off, which was basically a mega publicity stunt rather than a sign of her depression.
However she is still one of the most iconic women in pop music to teenagers (such as myself) who grew up listening to her music "Oops, I Did It Again", "Everytime", "I'm A Slave For You" - the list is pretty much endless.

(from left) Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears & Lindsey Lohan.

Although both her & Demi Lovato have now decided that The X Factor USA shows more promise for their careers seeing as their music careers have pretty much flopped - although Demi's never really took off, unless you count her songs on Disney's original film "Camp Rock" and her one hit single "Skyscraper".

Speaking of "Camp Rock"..

The Jonas Brothers seem to be the only ones who have managed to stick to their promise of wearing purity rings, apart from curly haired Kevin Jonas who is now happily married with his own reality programme on E!.
Being a personal fan of the Jonas Brothers when I was in high school, I loved all of their songs & admired how they chose to move to the Disney side of music after they were unsuccessful in getting any other label to sign them. It's proven to be one of the best choices that they've ever made though - having released a number of albums & singles, some tv shows "JONAS" and "JONAS L.A", a 3D film of their concert, as well as featuring in other films e.g. "Camp Rock" with Demi Lovato.
Although the 3 brothers have now gone their seperate ways in music, they are still managing to keep theirselves out of rehab, so well done boys.

(from left) Nick, Joe & Kevin aka. Jonas Brothers.

Miley Cyrus.
Everyone knows who Miley Cyrus is, unless you still think that she's Hannah Montana - if that's the case *SPOILER ALERT* sorry to break the news to you over a blog, but Hannah Montana is actually Miley Cyrus.
She entered Disney by landing the role of Hannah Montana and creating one of the most successful programmes/music artists for Disney that there has ever been. Although as we've realised, nothing ever lasts - she now has hair like a rebellious punk rock hair-do, about 700 dogs & has started focusing more on her acting career as no one really cares about listening to her sing anymore which is a shame because she was a true talent in my opinion. She's featured in films such as "Hannah Montana: The Movie", "LOL" & "The Last Song" where she met her soon to be husband Liam Hemsworth in 2009.

Recent picture of Miley Cyrus, doesn't exactly look like a Disney's angel anymore..

So hats off to Disney for making an impeccable job of turning all their young stars into raging alcoholic nutcases (no offense Lindsey), but a pat on the back for managing to salvage some of them, especially as Britney managed to grow her hair back *round of applause*.

I hope you enjoyed reading my blog, I'll make sure to update it everyday! If there's anything you want me to blog about in particular, give me a comment and I'll do my best to live up to your expectations!

Who are the Kardashians though?

I have nothing against the Kardashians personally, but I don't even understand why they are so famous?

There's Kourtney, Kim, Khloe' (why all the names have to beging in K I don't know..) and none of them have really done anything!
I mean fair enough Kim became friends with Paris Hilton in preschool, but that's pretty much it. She made her way up to the top when she became a personal stylist to recording artist Brandy Norwood, then eventually developed into a full-time stylist, and was a personal shopper and stylist to actress Lindsey Lohan.

BIG DEAL.

They're just famous for knowing famous people, they haven't actually done anything productive - except become known for their massive bum's and good dress sense.

I understand this is such a random thing to blog about, but when everyone goes on about how they want to be like Kim or Khloe' and have lots of amazing things, they don't actually realise that they have like zero talent - apart from getting gullable men *cough, Kanye West, cough* in their pants & making babies to get even more publicity.

Speaking of publicity, how much money did you get for your fake marriage Kim? Oh yeah that's right, enough to feed a small country in Africa but instead you wanted the money to pay for some new pairs of Jimmy Choo's..

I can imagine a lot of young girls will be like 'OMG HOW DARE YOU, THEY'RE LIKE GODS'; but let's face it, they're really not.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog today, if you have anything you wanna say please feel free to leave a comment - and I will reply as soon as possible!

Brit Awards 2013

So the Brit Awards is back on our screens on 20th February on ITV1.

There have been a lot of rumours circling as to who will be hosting the awards ceremony this year, but despite the rumours it has been confirmed that James Corden will be in charge for the evening - what could possibly go wrong?

The categories this year are all strong, with no clear winner in my opinion.

British Male Solo Artist:
- Olly Murs
- Calvin Harris
- Ben Howard
- Richard Hawley
- Plan B

Personally I'd opt to vote for Olly Murs or Calvin Harris, simply because they have shared amazing music with the world this past year, and I'm certain that they will continue to release new crowd-pleasing singles in the up coming year.

British Breakthrough Act:
- Jake Bugg
- Ben Howard
- Rita Ora
- Jessie Ware
- alt-J

Now I'm sure that most people would want Jake Bugg to win because apparently he's brilliant, even though I have no idea who he is and have never heard any of his songs - so I would go for the obvious Rita Ora just because she seems like she has the potential to be the next big superstar.

British Female Solo Artist:
- Amy Winehouse
- Emeli Sande
- Paloma Faith
- Jessie Ware
- Bat for Lashes

I'm not totally impressed at how Amy Winehouse has been placed in this category just because she recently returned to the charts following her tragic death - but Emeli Sande is the clear winner, as she has been an incredible all-round artist this past year & every single has managed to get into the Top 10.

British Group:
- alt-J
- Mumford & Sons
- Muse
- One Direction
- The XX

It's a bit obvious that millions and millions of girls are going to vote for their 'one true love' One Direction, because they're all so amazing and talented (not to mention they plan on having a romance with at least 1 member before they die, probs be Harry) - and fair enough One Direction are extremely talented, but I think Mumford & Sons are equally amazing, so deserve this Brit Award.

British Live Act:
- Coldplay
- Mumford & Sons
- The Vaccines
- Muse
- Rolling Stones

Coldplay deserve this award, that is all.

International Female Solo Artist:
- Alicia Keys
- Taylor Swift
- Rihanna
- Cat Power
- Lana Del Ray

I can't imagine that Alicia Keys will win, but then again I can't stand how she feels the need to take her huge piano every where with her..
I'd have to go for Taylor Swift, just because it'd be so funny to see Harry Style's face when she wins & because all the songs on her new album are so annoyingly good.

International Group:
- Alabama Shakes
- The Killers
- The Black Keys
- Fun.
- The Script

Hopefully The Script will win this 2013 Brit Award, as all their albums have been amazing and they just deserve to finally be recognised as one of the big contenders.

British Producer Of The Year:
- Damon Albarn
- Paul Epworth
- Jake Gosling

Out of the three, I'd rather Paul Epworth won because I've heard more of his work and believe that he deserves it.

Mastercard British Album of the Year:
- Emeli Sande
- Mumford & Sons
- alt-J
- Paloma Faith
- Plan B

The only choice for me would be Mumford & Sons, I own their newest album and it is one of the best albums that I have ever heard - will be really disappointed if they don't win, but if they only loose to Emeli Sande then fair enough.

International Male Solo Artist:
- Bruce Springsteen
- Gotye
- Jack White
- Frank Ocean
- Michael Buble

I've loved Michael Buble since he released his first album, and hearing him sing songs like 'Fever' and 'Feeling Good', you can't help but get goosebumps! But I think the winner is going to probably be Frank Ocean as he's become more popular this year.

British Single:
- Adele - Skyfall
- Alex Clare - Too Close
- Coldplay & Rihanna - Princess of China
- DJ Fresh ft. Rita Ora - Hot Right Now
- Emeli Sande - Next To Me
- Florence and the Machine - Spectrum
- James Arthur - Impossible
- Labrinth ft. Emeli Sande - Beneath You're Beautiful
- Jessie J - Domino
- Olly Murs ft. Flo Rida - Troublemaker
- Rita Ora ft. Tinie Tempah - R.I.P
- Rizzle Kicks - Mama Do The Hump
- Robbie Williams - Candy
- Rudimental ft. John Newman - Feel The Love
- Stooshe - Black Heart

Can't even think of where to start on this category, so many artist who have the potential to win - but seeing as it's up to the viewers, just have to see what happens on the night!

Don't forget to vote for your favourite - voting opens on 9th Feb!
